Happy 4th Birthday, little man

Four years ago today, Joel and I prepared to head to the hospital for our planned delivery of our sweet little guy,  down to the last minute on decisions regarding his name (so glad we didn't go with Zeke!  What were we thinking on that one, really?).  Nate is a perfect name for a our perfect son, who has shown us a whole new world already and what it means to have a little boy in it.  Trains, cars, ER visits (let's not forget the the eve of his 3rd birthday broken nose or the surgical removal of a game peg from his nose later that year!), and a zest for life with a happiness like a puppy dog - yep, that's what this little guy's made of.
