Nate is 13 months old now and is truly so much fun. Right now, he's eating his yummy lunch of diced carrots, leftover chicken casserole and cheerios and drinking apple juice from his sippee cup. I was eating some crackers with my leftover casserole and he let me know that I'd better start sharing those crackers or else...
He's a very good eater at this point, picking up and feeding himself anything and everything (including but not limited to anything he can find on the ground, the coffee table, my plate, etc.) and with his newfound freedom that comes with advanced crawling and pulling up for some cruising, I find myself realizing just how much backsliding in the babyproofing department we'd allowed ourselves to do over the last 7 years. It's truly like starting over, and we're learning something new every day. He LOVES Maggie and anything she does is of great interest. It won't be long before she is going to have to start closing her door, because he has learned exactly where her room is and loves nothing more than going in there.
